- Age requirements Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No minors under 6 on firing line. Ages 6-7 observers only. Ages 8-11 limited to .22 caliber rimfire, air, and BB rifles only, max 100 yards. Ages 12-17 prohibited from magnum pistol loads.
